Someone really ought to do a "Juggernaut Bitch" on Inuyasha.

I really need a haircut.

Oh, right, birthday stuff! So Sunday Kait, Clay, Brooke and I went out to celebrate my birthday. It was fantastically fun, really just an awesome night. We dressed up (for no apparent reason other than I said we should) and went bowling. We saw Taria there who is awesome and let us bowl cheap! Yay Taria! Thank you!

After bowling we went to Friday's, where those crazy pirate pictures were taken. All night Clay, Brooke, and Kait had been all excited to give me presents and I didn't really understand why they were so impatient about it until Clay pulled out a package of eyepatches and fake earrings. The rule was that we HAD to wear them while I opened my presents. AND, since I was the birthday girl, I got a blow up parrot to wear on my shoulder! It was hilarious, seriously, that moment alone made the night completely amazing. Our waitress was really nice and got quite a laugh when she came back to bring us our drinks and suddenly we all had eyepatches on.

They got me some really cool stuff. Clay got me an orange tee shirt of a guy bringing out some food and saying "Get 'Em While They're Hot!" (I described it badly, but it's a great shirt and I'm sooo not wearing it to work...I get enough comments just wearing my Elmo shirt...must save it for a night out) and a pretty sweater. Kait got me a pen which lights up and blows bubbles and has a stamp and a duck on it. GREATEST. PEN. EVER. Omg I flipped out over it. I must find something special to write with it. Heh. She also got me a really pretty necklace that went perfectly with my outfit (hooray! Kait also supplied us all with sparkly necklaces to make us feel really dressed up...they also went really well with the whole pirate theme) and a lovely CD case. And before I say what Brooke got me, lemme just explain that while we were bowling we of course made up dumb names to type in the machine, and for some reason they all decided to put me as Wonder Woman (actually, the first name they put for me was "Birfday slizut") and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. But when I got Brooke's present it all made much more sense. She got me a piggy bank, but it's not a piggy, it's Wonder Woman!!! It's so great! I feel like I need to clean up my room just so it's respectable enough for my Wonder Woman bank. Hahah. She also got me a My Little Pony birthday card which I swooned over because I never had a My Little Pony when I was little and always wanted one (I can't believe she remembered that, haha)!

The waitress, as I said before, was really really nice. She didn't even flinch at the pirate get ups and when I told her I was going to be turning 21 in half an hour and could I maybe order my drink now (I didn't want to make everyone wait around half an hour just so I could have a drink I probably wouldn't finish when I legally turned 21 at midnight) she went "OH! Why didn't you tell me earlier?!" and ran off to get my mudslide (which was okay, but I barely drank any of 'cause I suck, heh). We left her a note saying "You are the nicest waitress EVER <3 The Pirate Table" (Kait and I have a history of leaving waitresses notes, hehe).

The night ended off with drunken Wario Ware (did I get the name right?) at Clay's house. Well, Kait and Brooke were drunk, Clay and I were perfectly goofy all on our own. That was seriously one of the funniest things EVER. Drunken Kaity is HILARIOUS. I <3 you, Kaity! And Brooke! And Clay! We ended up all pretty much sucking at the game (except Clay, who has annoying magic video game powers) and calling each other really vulgar names and it was oh so much fun.

And so, to close, here is a picture of me with my very first drink as an (almost) 21 year old (and yes, I know it looks like a bowl of ice cream, shut up):

P.S. I think I've definitely hit my limit on picture posting for about a month. Seriously, I'm such a picture whore this week. Sorry!

Birthday...other stuff like explanations to be added later...

I think this pretty much sums up my fantastic birthday celebration with Kait, Clay, and Brooke:

I love my friends. :-D Thank you Kait, Brooke, and Clay for one of the best birthday's EVER! More pictures later.

(And it wasn't even really my birthday yet! <3)

I say "like" way more than I ever thought I did....scary.

Grown adults who sniffle loudly and repeatedly should be required to carry tissues where ever they go. Grr.

(especially when they're sniffling loudly while looking up Inuyasha on youtube and making little "hmm" noises every once in awhile...sigh...)

Edited to say....why did I write "grown adults"??? Mm, tasty oxymoron.

My vocabulary is limited...

Y'know what sucks?* When your English teacher grades on your organizational skills. Y'know what sucks even more? When you kind of lack organizational skills, but still do all the work and are awesome, but because you forgot that one of your pieces of work was in a different part of your folder or assumed she didn't need to see something again that she's already graded because it's not like she gave you a list of exactly what she wanted to see, you get a C on your "journal" which is worth far too much of your final grade. Y'know what REALLY sucks? When you find this out in the middle of your little mental celebration over being one of only two people in your class to get an A on the midterm. And what sucks the most? While attempting to come to terms with the massive amount of suckage that's taking place, the teacher hands you the essay you absolutely despised writing and stayed up till wretchedly late hours of the morning editing, and wants you to revise it.

"Wretched" is a really fantastic word.

Meanwhile, what the hell kind of college professor grades on how well you keep your notebook organized? The last time I had to do that was 7th grade and it was ridiculous then, too! I mean, this was her way of seeing that we did all the homework assignments, but there was a spot on the grading paper for organization, plus she wanted to see things she'd already graded (so why did she need to see them again?) AND photocopies of stories we'd read (seriously, what the hell does that have to do with ANYTHING?!)

*How many posts do I start this way? Whatever, I'm too disappointed to think of a more interesting way of saying it.

Why Brooke and Robin should have their own TV show:

If you happened to come into the store tonight you most likely caught us doing a reenactment of Natalie Portman's rap from SNL.

That, or making out. Whichever.

I'm really tired and going to bed, but I wanted to write this down so I remember it later:

Tonight a man came into the store and told me I was beautiful and in a very not creepy way. And it was nice.

Good night. :-)

Old Robin: Doesn't do English homework for a month and doesn't really care much that she's going to get a C.

New Robin: Still doesn't do English homework for a month but instead does it all the night before the teacher's going to check it because she really wants an A.

Ugh. Maturity.

If Daniel Vosovic from Project Runway wasn't gay I'd track him down and have my way with him.

At least I'm pretty sure I heard him say he's gay....'cause if not..someone let me know!

Ang Lee's "I wish I knew how to quit you" joke? Booooo, laaaaame.

I know it's mean to make fun of Ang Lee, but what does he care? He's got an Oscar!

Today is March 5th...

A year ago today, I did something brave.

Today is March 5th, and I'm trying to be as brave as I can. But I don't know if there's much left I can do.

But I'm still gonna try.

Y'know what's fun? When you send your computer away to get it fixed and then nearly exactly two months later you end up with the same problem. For the third time.

::facepalm::

I stole that expression from Brookie who's off in lovely Hawaii right now. Lucky bitch! (love you, Brooke)

Also, I'm watching "Log In For Love" on TLC. Too damn amusing.

Charity (a little bit late)

My charity for February is a little late..oops...but this month I donated to Danyi's Children. Danyi's Children is an organization that's working to help children in Danyi N'Digbe, Togo get an education. They've already built their first elementary school and are working to build more schools. $15 pays for one kids school supplies for an entire year! Check it out. Donate if you can, it'll help some kids and make you feel good.

It's true! To assume really does make an ass of you and me. But, y'know...mostly me.

Did you know that they started making Juicy Fruit Bubble Tape?! And Sugar Free Bubble Tape?!

Also, they've started making bottle pops that are longer now making them look slightly more like a penis than a nipple. Perverse candy, those bottle pops.
