Who got a big fat A on her history exam?

That would be me.

Who really wants a donut right now instead of going to class?

That would also be me.

Mm. Donuts.

Happy Birthday, Kaity!

It's Kaity's birthday! I've known Kait since we were 11 and she is one of the best friends a girl could have. I love you, Kaity! Happy Birthday!!

I got paid to do this...(really)

Reasons Why I Love My Job

1. Free Movies
2. Getting paid to watch movies.
3. Getting paid to hang out with Kaity, Brooke, and Clay.
4. How often do you get to call your boss and say "We just got in a big box of porn,"?
5. Having an excuse to watch Disney movies every week.
6. Having cool bosses who laugh when you call saying "We just got in a big box of porn."
7. Meeting really cool people/really cute little kids.
8. The store is dog friendly! I've met so many new puppies and they're all so cute!
9. Being a video store chick makes me sound kind of cool (at least I think it does...I hope).
10. No uniforms!

Reasons Why My Job Gets Annoying
(originally titled "Reasons I Hate My Job" but I really don't hate my job or even dislike it all that much)

1. Having to put labels on the movies in the giant box of porn.
2. Porn in general.
3. Catching every illness around from Kaity, Brooke, and Clay (and the rest of the town).
4. Having to clean up after half the town.
5. Having to watch Disney movies every week.
6. People who talk down to me because I'm a sales clerk/a girl/young/because they know I can't say anything about it/for the hell of it/all of the above and pretty much any other reason you can think of.
7. Watching people blame their 6 year old for their late movies.
8. Being mean to kids who get on my nerves (I always feel bad about it later...usually)
9. The fact that I can now identify the guys who are totally heading straight for the porn as soon as they walk in the door. That's not really a skill I ever wanted to have.
10. Did I mention the porn?

Waaaay back

Mike and Robin Graduating!

Check out this picture I found from three years ago (holy crap, three years?!). I'd never actually gone through the pics my mom took at graduation 'cause they were all blurry and grainy and such, but I did tonight and look what I found. Don't ask me what I'm pointing at, possibly a cord on the ground, but check out the gold leaves on Mike's cap! Awesome!

My English teacher keeps assigning us sad stories to read as if to try and warn us that life is crappy and has no happy endings. Or even endings that make sense. And when it is a happy ending it's probably just a lie and later everything's just gonna suck again.

Mm. Pessimism.

New pet peeve:

I can't sit at a desk that someone drew all over. It's just gross. It feels all dirty and is completely distracting.

Better title to come...

1. People who blatantly pay no attention in class really piss me off. Like this jerk in my Econ class who is clearly just talking on AIM for the entire class and doesn't even bother to look up once in awhile. I mean in a big class you can get away with that, but in a class of 5 people it's just obnoxious. Plus he was a jerk when the teacher asked him a perfectly legitimate question about his homework. So he is not on my favorite person list.

2. "Dynamics of communication" is just a fancy way of saying dumb touchy-feely class where you are questioned on how many roses you'd give a girl and why. Seriously. Unless you're a girl and then you're asked how many roses you'd want given to you and why. 'Cause girls can't give people roses. That would upset the delicate balance. Don't want those womenfolk to get too uppity.

3. Linda and Miles both said basically the same thing in their entries about someone else reading their minds and answering questions in class. Jeez you guys can't even write in your blogs without someone stealing your thoughts. I'd look into that if I were you.

4. Also, my dyn. of comm. teacher (yeah I used two abbreviations in one name, but I'm lazy) keeps calling his girlfriend his "lady friend". At least I think it's his girlfriend. I was going to say something about what calling her his "lady friend" could mean but it was rather rude and who knows if he surfs the web. Plus I'll feel like a bastard.

5. Speaking of which...time for class.

I just found out today that when my grandmother moved the moving company "lost" her grandfather clock. And by lost I mean clearly either they stole it or it was stolen while under their supervision. I loved that clock, I had really nice memories of it and now it's gone. People suck.
